This series comes to us at a time when gratitude is in the air. November is "Gratitude Month," and we are set to explore gratitude and how it can be used in your spiritual practice.
Paul starts his letter to the Philippians: “I thank my God every time I remember you.” He starts with gratitude.
We begin our gratitude journey by being grateful for an inclusive church where all people are affirmed and welcomed into membership and leadership. Today marks our first year anniversary of our English-speaking congregation becoming a Reconciling Congregation. Wherever you come from, whatever your beliefs are, and whatever your family is like--we’re grateful you've found us here!
If you are greatful for inclusive congregations and churches and feel led to support our reconciling efforts, consider dontating. List Bethel International UMC in the "Reconciling Ministry Name" field.
Each message in this series will be accompanied with an "Intentional Spiritual Practice of Gratitude" as a way to help us all grow in gratitude and grace.
The first practice is to WRITE A THANK-YOU NOTE. Yep, it's that simple. Text it, post it on their social media, talk to them in person, send it in the mail. Just take a few moments to tell someone you're grateful for them. Feel free to do more than one!
