The Worship Media Director will lead all aspects of audio, video, livestream, and visual media production for Bethel’s English-speaking worship services and other ministry events. This role combines technical skill, creative vision, and team leadership to ensure worship experiences are engaging, spiritually meaningful, and accessible to both in-person and online audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sunday Morning Worship Services & Event Media
  • Operate and manage presentation software (currently ProPresenter) for lyrics, scripture, announcements, and other visual elements.
  • Incorporate edited video clips, motion graphics, and recorded music to enhance worship.
  • Coordinate and oversee the livestream of English-speaking worship services, ensuring a high-quality online experience.
  • Manage audio, video, and lighting during worship services and special events.
Team Development & Coordination:
  • Recruit, train, and schedule volunteer AV team members for worship services and other church events.
  • Provide ongoing training to volunteers on equipment, software, and media best practices.
  • Ensure backup coverage for all AV roles during services and events.
Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work with the Senior Pastor to integrate visuals, scripture, sermon graphics, and announcements.
  • Work with the Music Director to ensure song lyrics, music credits, and media assets are ready and accurate.
  • Support the AV needs of other ministries (Children’s Church, Youth, Sunday School, special events).
Equipment & Infrastructure:
  • Maintain and troubleshoot AV equipment (currently Behringer X-32 soundboard, Sunlite Suite 2 lighting software, ProPresenter software, livestream cameras).
  • Recommend and plan for upgrades or purchases in collaboration with leadership.
  • Maintain and update digital signage/screens throughout the church building.
Qualifications Faith & Mission Alignment:
  • A living Christian faith with a commitment to creatively sharing the gospel through media.
  • Alignment with the mission and values of Bethel International UMC.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in presentation software (ProPresenter preferred).
  • Experience with livestreaming platforms and video production/editing.
  • Knowledge of soundboard operation (Behringer X-32 preferred) and lighting control software (Sunlite Suite 2 preferred).
  • Familiarity with computer networks, including WiFi setup and troubleshooting.
Leadership & Organization:
  • Experience recruiting, training, and leading volunteers.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Clear, professional communication skills with staff, volunteers, and congregation.
Expectations & Compensation:
  • Hours: Part-time, with schedule set in collaboration with Senior Pastor and HR Team.
  • Compensation: Salary negotiated with HR Team. Additional pay for special events (weddings, funerals, building rentals).
  • Availability: Must be present on-site for worship services, rehearsals, and key events. Some remote prep work possible.
