What Is Love Fest Protest?
Love Fest Protest is a joyful, peaceful act of witness. On the second Saturday of every month, we gather for one hour at the corner of N. High Street and North Broadway to stand against discrimination, fear, and hate—and to proclaim something better.

Why We Gather

At Bethel International UMC, our faith calls us to live love out loud.

We believe justice and love are not opposites—they belong together. Love Fest Protest is one way we put that belief into action. By standing together peacefully in a public space, we bear witness to a vision of unity rooted not in fear, but in dignity and care for one another. Love is what unites us. Unity, built on compassion and understanding, is what creates change.
Who Is Welcome

Everyone.

Whether you are part of Bethel, part of another faith community, or not connected to a church at all—this space is for you. Families, children, elders, neighbors, and friends are all welcome to join us as we stand for justice with love at the center.
What to Expect

You don’t need to bring anything—just yourself and an open heart.

  • A peaceful, respectful presence
  • Signs that speak love, justice, and hope
  • A welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere
  • An hour of standing together in solidarity
  • A clear commitment to nonviolence and compassion
