The great song, O Holy Night, sings that the birth of Christ brings a thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices. We continue with our question for this season: How does a weary world rejoice? How?
In part one, we began to answer this question by acknowledging our weariness with Zechariah.
In part two, we turn to Mary and Elizabeth—one very young to be pregnant and the other very young. In the stress and weariness of their waiting, they turn to . . . one another. In hard times, joy is found in connection, in being together. And when one person can’t rejoice, others can carry joy for them.
Let's come together in that spirit and with that hope.
