Looking ahead to the future of our chuch requires us to make some changes in how we do and think about our church. Things are just not the same as they were in the past. There's a need to measure the faithfulness of our ministry not just by how many people come to the church, but by the wellbeing of the community around us.
Jeremiah told the exiles in Babylon to invest their lives in the community where they lived, to seek the welfare of the place where they found themselves. Likewise, Paul invested his life in the places he stayed.
