Habakkuk begins with lament; he cries out to God for the violence he sees all around him: “How long, O Lord?”
Amidst all the violence we see today, it hits home, doesn't it? You know, some folks think worship is only about happy moments, no room for frustration or tears. And these days, there's this push to only see the positive side of our past. But Habakkuk invites us to have faith that sees things as they are, to genuinely care for others, and when needed, to express our sorrow. Now, in the watchtower of life, we're not just "Waiting on the World to Change;" we're echoing Habakkuk's plea to God, asking, "How much longer?"
