Bethel Church was established in 1842, predating the naming of Bethel Road, which officially occurred in 1935, with the road taking its name from the church.
Now known as Bethel International UMC, our little country church has experienced a great deal of change over the years. It's become clear that we're here to grow and evolve in order to meet the needs of our community and our neighbors all around us.
We aspire to be more than just a church. Our vision encompasses becoming a multicultural community hub, a valuable resource for our neighbors, and a welcoming space for all. We dream of a future where we are a multicultural community center.
A multicultural community center where schools, nonprofits, government agencies, community organizations, and other faith communities can work together to connect and celebrate people of all ethnicities, races, languages, cultures, genders, sexualities, and abilities.
A multicultural community center that utilizes the gifts of all our neighbors to bring people together across social and economic divisions.
A multicultural community center that announces the good news of the Kingdom of God, which includes peace and justice for all God’s children.
