Juneteenth-A holiday to celebrate the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States.

June 20, 2022 will be a special Micah Monday at Bethel International UMC. We will have our usual rally along Bethel Road from 5:00PM - 6:00PM. In addition to the rally, we will celebrate JUNETEENTH by eating together and having an opportunity to talk together about ways to work towards eliminating racism in our community.

Bring a lawn chair if you have it. The food will be nothing fancy:

  • Hot Dogs (all beef or turkey)
  • Chips
  • Southern Tea Cakes
  • Lemonade

God’s love for all of us and our love for each other will be present and palpable.

Please join us in remembering, and helping others to remember, in celebrating the idea of freedom for all.

You can make a sign, or we will have signs for you to use—Let the world know that you and Bethel International UMC Stands Against Racism.
