At Bethel International UMC,
building community means more than gathering on Sundays—it means showing up for one another in real and tangible ways.

Building community means recognizing that each other includes all of us—church members and first-time visitors, longtime neighbors and new arrivals, the celebrated and the overlooked. We believe that in God’s eyes, we belong to one another, and that how we care for ourselves is inseparable from how we care for the whole community.

So we show up—with love, dignity, and care—through shared meals, meaningful conversations, public witness, partnerships, and acts of justice and compassion. From Love Fest gatherings and book studies to food access, environmental care, housing work, and reconciling ministries, these efforts are how we live out our faith together and work toward a community where everyone has a place and a voice.
