Which came first, Bethel Road or Bethel Church?
If you said Bethel Church, you're right!

Bethel Church was established in 1842, predating the naming of Bethel Road, which officially occurred in 1935, with the road taking its name from the church.

Now known as Bethel International UMC, our little country church has experienced a great deal of change over the years. It's become clear that we're here to grow and evolve in order to meet the needs of our community and our neighbors all around us.

We are being called to "build  & plant" the next chapter of this church.

God is calling Bethel International United Methodist Church to be a multicultural community, a place where all kinds of people can be safe, be loved and belong.

We aspire to be more than just a church. Our vision encompasses becoming a multicultural community hub, a valuable resource for our neighbors, and a welcoming space for all. We dream of a future where we are a multicultural community center.

A multicultural community center where schools, nonprofits, government agencies, community organizations, and other faith communities can work together to connect and celebrate people of all ethnicities, races, languages, cultures, genders, sexualities, and abilities.

A multicultural community center that utilizes the gifts of all our neighbors to bring people together across social and economic divisions.

A multicultural community center that announces the good news of the Kingdom of God, which includes peace and justice for all God’s children.

Who are we?
We are an inclusive church committed to building a community that embraces diversity, fosters love, and advocates for social justice.
Why are we here?
Our calling is to foster sacred connections among individuals from diverse cultures, rooted in love and strengthened through acts of service, education, and a shared commitment to creating a more compassionate and just world.
