Life Support Groups
Life Support Groups
Support groups at Bethel International consist of people with common experiences and concerns who provide emotional, spiritual, and moral support for one another. Support groups provide comfort, compassion and support for people dealing with a range of life situations including trauma, grief, wellness and parenting. Support groups vary in format; some groups are facilitated by trained professionals/pastor, while others are peer-led and focus on shared experiences.
Please note that Support Groups are not the same as group therapy sessions. One of our pastors can direct you to trained mental health providers, depending on your needs. Groups are open to both members and the community. Contact a group leader to join at any time.
The Conversation Partners ministry matches Korean students with an English-speaking partner for casual conversation to practice language skills. Partners develop relationships and learn about the other’s culture, experiences and traditions.
Grief Support (New Fall 2017)
The purpose of this developing group is to provide emotional and spiritual support for church members and friends of Bethel International who have lost loved ones recently or long ago. This group is a peer-based discussion group and will also be facilitated, in part, by Rev. Mike Pratt.
Health and Wellness (New Fall 2017)
This new group offers hope and encouragement for people who care about their bodies and want to make a stronger commitment to health and wellness from a faith-based perspective. This group is for people who want to become less dependent on food, exercise more, lose weight or increase your energy levels. The group will provide space for people to discuss struggles and learn about different ways to stay active in various stages of life.
Meeting Info and Location: TBD
